It’s that time to saunter on down to the Box Office at the Civic Center in beautiful downtown Lima to get your reserved tables or balcony seats beginning at 12:00 noon Tuesday January 17th. Last year it only took 6 hours to sell out the Saturday night tables so you have to act quickly. Friday tables sell out in only a few days, so there is really no time to dawdle. You may call The Box Office at 419-224-1552 for that credit card order. You can also buy balcony tickets at all Happy Daz, Beer Barrels, or the Smoking Q locations beginning on January 17th. You can go to our website bluescommittee.com and click on SEATING to see a photo of our table layout. Tell the box office ladies which table number(s) you want. We will update these photos daily so you know which tables are still available. Remember, we only have 38 tables per night, so buy early and buy often. While you are at our home page, you can also watch videos of each artist to figure out which night you cannot afford to miss! Friday night The Blues Committee will be bringing you that authentic Chicago style blues. The opening act this year will be Rob Blame’s Big Otis Blues Band. Rob won the Albert King best guitarist award in Memphis last year at The Blues Foundation’s annual International Blues Competition. So be prepared to be blown away! Headlining Friday night will be Sharon Lewis & Texas Fire. Kicking off our Saturday night show from Memphis, Tennessee will be Daddy Mack Blues Band. Closing out Saturday night will be Zac Harmon. Zac won the 2004 International Blues Competition over 150 other blues bands from all over the world. Misty Lee & the Mystery Chefs from Lima Senior High will be offering up tasty affordable food once again. Blues Committee members, Greg Averesch and Mark Thompson along with folks from Heidelberg will be manning the Labatt’s beer booths along with the wine, soda pop and water to quench that thirst. The new festival T-shirt designed by John Rausch will be on sale as well as CD’s from the bands. Come flush to take home some cheap memories! Don’t forget to fill out your ticket stub for the neon door prize each evening. Keep in mind that all of the profits benefit the future of our kids by way of music scholarships, Artists in Residency programs and our Blues in the Schools program, so come on out and have a great time. Don’t forget you’ll have to pace yourselves to enjoy both nights and at these prices, you’d be a fool not to! Pickle

Family Concert: Beethoven Lives Upstairs by Classical Kids Imagine Ludwig van Beethoven moving in to the apartment upstairs! The world- famous production of Beethoven Lives Upstairs features a lively exchange of letters between a young boy and his uncle about the “madman” who has moved upstairs. Audiences will be captivated by more than thirty-five excerpts of the master’s music, including the Moonlight Sonata, Fur Fuse, and the great Fifth and Ninth Symphonies. The music is magically woven into the drama as two actors share their anecdotes and observations based on true incidents from the composer’s life. Presenting history, drama, music and fun, this engaging, fast-paced concert will captivate and entertain children and adults alike.
Lift Every Voice The Lima Symphony Chorus and the BGSU University Choral Society will join our orchestra as we transport you to the 13th century for a tale of war, treason and the power of the common people united by a hero with Prokofiev’s renowned cantata, Alexander Nevsky. We conclude our season with the chromatic patterns of Saint-Saens Organ Symphony, known for its virtuoso piano passages, brilliant orchestral writing and the sound of a cathedral-sized pipe organ, all sweeping to a dramatic finish. Sergei Prokofiev Alexander Nevsky, Op. 78 Tina Bunce, mezzo-soprano Lima Symphony Chorus BGSU University Choral Society Camille Saint-Saens Symphony No. 3 in C minor, Op. 78 “Organ Symphony”
