Instructions for Adding a Banner
 

LimaStuff.com Banner Ad Instructions


Use the following instructions to start a banner ad on the LimaStuff.com web site. You must have a LimaStuff.com account. Log in to your LimaStuff.com account by clicking on the "My Account" link towards the top of the homepage. Towards the bottom of the page there is a section titled "Banner Advertisements". Click the "Create" link in this section and then follow the instructions that are laid out below to create a banner ad. There is a limit of four banners per customer account (Charitable Organizations please limit your free banner to one per account). The cost of each banner is only $50 per month. The top and bottom banner must be sized 468X60 pixels. The side banner must be sized 120X60 pixels. If you don't have a banner we can design one for you. Once you have created a Banner Ad you can monitor the 'Click through' rate to see how many people have clicked on your banner to find out more information about your business or product. The cost to design a banner ranges from $50 to $100 depending on the complexity of the design. The banner ad can link to a web site. If you don't have a web site consider a 'splash' page, a one to three page site with information that your customers will find useful. The cost to design a splash web page will be $100 to $150. Enter the URL of the web site that your banner ad will open when clicked. If you don't have a web site please use http://www.LimaStuff.com, this will reload the LimaStuff.com homepage. Consider getting a 'splash' page (a one to three page web site with a limited amount of information) for your business. If you would like we can design a splash page for a $100-$150 fee. Site Title:

Enter the name of your web site. (for example:LimaStuff.com, Country Flowers Greenhouse, Moonlight Mobile Music)

Site Description:

A brief description of your business. What it does, its service area, its location and how to contact the business.

Site Category:

Click the category where you would like your banner to be displayed. The LimaStuff.com web site homepage will display banners on a random basis.

Banner Advertisement Image Settings
This is for informational purposes and lists the size that the banners must be. Any deviation will result in an error.

Option #1 and Option #2

  • Option #1 allows you to use a banner that is uploaded from your computer. Click the 'Browse...' button and then go to the drive that has the file you wish to use and select it.
  • Option #2 allows you to upload a banner that you have on a remote computer.

    Banner advertisement Location Settings

    From the dropdown list select the location where you would like you banner to be placed. Make sure you have the correct size banner for the location you choose. Once all of the above information has been entered click on the 'Creat Banner Advertisement' button, which will take you to the next step.
